Installing from a CD-ROM
The CD holds the initial distribution of the 3D trade show
(or other 3D event). Place the CD in
your CD drive. Most systems will automatically start the installation in 10
seconds or so. If your system does not, then manually start Windows Explorer (or the Windows
Start button and then the RUN command) and find the CD drive and then double
click the file called setup.exe. That will start the installation process.
If you do not wish to install, click no. Otherwise click yes. Read and follow
the instructions on the screen. You may change the location where the program is
installed, but it is recommended to leave the location as the installer sets it.
You will require anywhere from 20MB to 200MB of free disk space (depending on the size of the show) to install the
Expo3D system. Once installed, you no longer need to
keep the CD in the drive. In fact, feel free to pass the CD along to others you
believe would be interested in attending this show.
The installation process copies all of the required files on to your system and
places a couple of icons on your desktop; one for the particular show the CD is
for, and the other for Expo3D in general (non-show specific). Later, you may click on the
show icon
to revisit the show.
If you leave the installation program's "Launch Expo3D" field checked then the show will automatically
start once you click the Finish button.
Installing from a download file
If you downloaded an Expo3D installation from our
web site and you chose the "open" option (as opposed to the "save to file"
option) when you did the download, the installation program will start
automatically when the download has completed. If you chose "save to file" then
you'll have to go double-click on the exe you downloaded from wherever you saved
it on your hard disk.
In either case, the downloaded installation file
contains all of the files and programs required for the initial distribution of
the 3D trade show (or other 3D event).
If you do not wish to install, click no. Otherwise click yes. Read and follow
the instructions on the screen. You may change the location where the program is
